Drop In Sessions at the Cwad 0

Something that I realized pretty quickly when I started at UWTSD is that your work doesn’t have to overwhelm you. There is a lot of support on campus that can help make the process of writing assignments a lot easier. Personally, the extra help that Student Services provides, beyond your lecturers has been a really important part of my education and keeping me focused on my work.

The drop in sessions are especially helpful. UWTSD has made sure every student, across campuses has access to this help. Students in Carmarthen can find the drop in sessions in the cwad, (for more information click here: http://www.uwtsd.ac.uk/study-skills/). It’s a really useful study, tool. Basically you can either make an appointment or just drop in and ask for help from a tutor about your work. The university recognizes that emotional and mental health is a really important part of learning, since learning while you’re stressing out isn’t a fun experience, and doesn’t help anyone.

The tutors are really great, and can help talk you through your assignment and help guide you through the process. Often times the hardest part is just starting your work, ad they really help point you in the right direction. So don’t be afraid to go talk to them about your work, especially if you have an assignment that you aren’t sure about. There’s a lot of help available on campus, learning is supposed to enrich your life and bring you closer to your goals, so don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it, I know I definitely appreciate the extra help!
